I have sole custody and want to move out of illinois can my ex husband stop me

I have sole custody of my son and want to move out of state but my x says i will be arrested if i do

If you have sole custody of your child and in your divorce degree it does not stipulate that you can't move out of state then you should be fine. If it does stipulate that you can't take him out of state then you would need to file a motion with the court asking that you be able to move.
