In Indiana, who usually gets child custody in a divorce if the children are under 14?

My husband and I are getting divorced and can't agree on child custody. The children are 7 and 9.

Who ever is the best at raiseing them , and can provide a good home , and stable place to stay, and with enough money to let them live a good wholesome life, with love , and careing, people thats who will get them

Usally the mother always gets custody unless she is proven unfit and that is hard to prove. It best that you get joint custody and that way the two of you can share equal time with the kids and you would each have to agree together on decitions that are made for the children. Also joint custody can also make a difference in how much child support you pay,depending on if it is joint and how much time you have the kids.
