Should a mom with MS , bipolar and diasabled and not working have custody of the kids?

My ex has custody ,has not worked in two years is divorcing after seperating a second time from her new husband of less than 5 years . She is trying to get disability and is living in a home that her grandmothers own. She has no money , no income, no job, and her new future ex husband is covering them on his insurance. She is absoultely contributing nothing to these kids . She never takes them to thier practices or games, she has wrecked or damaged her car twice in the past month when does take the kids anywhere. The kids says she does nothing but lay around on the couch and cry or argue on the phone with her ex or her mom.

Well if your ex has custody of the children it is not easy to take them away from her unless you have Cps involved showing that she is an unfit mother. You can always file for custody but you will need to have some proof that the mother has done something that the court would considered harmfull. If she is trying to get on disabitily does not mean she can't care for the children. I would watch the children more closely and take it from there. If you have concerns about their well being you will need to call COS and have the home checked out. You can also talk to her and see if she is willing to let you take the children for awhile until she gets help.
