Should custody be granted to non family

I am raising a 11 month old liitle baby, who mother gave me custody of and I been taking care of the baby for 8 months, and now the mother wants her baby back.
The mother has mental health problem so should she be allow to have her baby back.

Did the court grant you the custody? It has to be ordered though the court inorder to be legal. If it is she can file for custody back,it would be up to you to prove that the mother has a prmblem that would concern the court,that would led to the mother to not be able to care for the child. If the mother just signed a paper stating that you could have custody it is not legal.
