Where do i file for custody if my son is in another state

He lives in nj and i am in texas our divorce was final 3 years ago but i have been wanting full custody his mother is not fit what do i do

Well all I can say is good luck on this one. The reason being that you are in two different states and you would have to file for custody in the same state the orignal was. Also although I believe this is sad but it is true that to prove a mother unfit is very hard. Also the amount of fighting for custody is so high. If you have the money and you feel you have enought evinence then you can try.
