TAX QUESTION

MY DAUGHTER AND HER HUSBAND ARE SEPERATED.....FOR 2007 TAXES HOW DO THEY CLAIM THEIR CHILDREN...WHICH MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE CUSTODY OF THEM SINCE SEPTEMBER OF 2007. THERE ARE 3 CHILDREN. MY DAUGHTER IS ON SSD AND HER HUSBAND WORKS FULL TIME.

MYSELF AND MY HUSBAND AND I ARE BOTH ON SSD. DO WE CLAIM OUR GRAND CHILDREN? THIS IS VERY CONFUSING. WE DO GET STATE AID FOR OUR GRANDCHILDREN. I HOPE YOU CAN HELP. THANK YOU

Where were they before sept? I think you need to have them and be primarily responsible financially for them for over 6 months to claim them.

You have to prove that u suported them for 6 months or longer in a year

You need to be primarily in charge of taking care of them, and have them living with you for at least 6 months to claim them
