Trying to get shared parenting

I need to know what it is that i have to do to get shared parenting of my son. My ex girlfriend left me and moved into a house with a guy that just got out of prison for selling drugs. she took our son with her. there is no custody agreement and we are going to court for child support. she works third shift and i have him from 7pm till 7am. and then every other weekend. this is the agreement she and i had worked out. now she wants child support to when her and her new boyfriend make three times the amount of money that i do each month. should I have to pay child support and how do i get shared parenting entered into the courts.

Child support is based on a standard worksheet, you can find those online. It'll give you a close estimate of what the courts will decide upon - it's calculated by # of overnights + income. So, maybe you'll get support instead of her. As for custody, you should ask for it at the next hearing. Maybe call the court to see how to do the paperwork.
