Visitation

You can file a petition with the court yourself asking that the custodial parent be held in contemp of the court ordered visitation plan. You can find the forms for this at your court houses law library, or online, just google them by state. However, speaking from experience, it is unlikely that the court will force your son to attend visitations at this age. Good Luck.

I agree my son is almost 14 and Im going through the same thing ,He refuses to go with the father , and now the father is trying to get me for contempt .I have proof of why he wont go and proof that he disapears for months at a time not even seeing his son .

Its sad ....what the kids have to go through .....

I will protect my son and I hope the Judge will see what we have and make some needed changes .,

I would sujest that you,the mother and son sit down and talk about this,your son is of the age to have a say in if he wants to see you, although the court does not like the child to not visit their parent(s). The court would more likey order counciling if he/she feels it is needed. Your son either is just being rebellious or he has a reason he should feel this way, and that is for you to determine by talking with him. The moter should support you in allowing your child to go with you for your visits,again there is some promblem here,you neeed to find put whats going on,if you feel that there is not a promblem then file a motion to enforce parenting rights.

Or you can pay 1000 and get you a good lawyer to fight the other parent and then the child doesnt have to be forced to go with someone they dont want to be with ,,,,

I agree with above. forcing the matter will only make it worse. do you want to be around someone that doesnt want to be around you? isnt that why you got divorced? better to try to figure out why exactly he doesnt want to see you and fix that because he is of an age where a judge will take your childs views seriously and the way he feels at the moment, you would loose.

I agree , my ex is trying to get me for contempt but hes lying ..so we shall see ,He didn't show up for 2 months to see his son and then he saw him in March and after that visit the wicked so called step mother posted nasty stuff about my son on the Internet for all to see .That was wrong and then she would post his picture on her page along with 1/'2 naked pix of her and her 22 yr old daughter .Its nasty .I can see why he doesn't want to go and all the hurt his father has caused him and not once has the father said I'M SORRY .

All the times he showed up to get my son we video tapped my son saying NO I don't want to go and I will have that for court .

Whats sad is he (my ex) hasn't seen my son since March 09 and then he showed up here Wed and didn't even hug my son or say WOW you got tall or anything , so sad ...Then my son told him again NO I don't want to go and the whole time my son is being video tapped and he didn't like that .He asked his father why and he said to cover his azz .Well I can see video him coming out and taking but to keep on taping while they talk is a little strange A step step mother was doing it .

Well we go to court next Tuesday and I will post what happens, with this contempt stuff . hes trying to get me for about 15 counts of contempt ..lol even in Dec when the father but a letter in my mail box stating that he wanted to give up his rights ,.

So I'm tired of the azz playing my son like a yo yo so. I'm filling for full custody of my son ,
I have enough stuff to make him look like a fool so he can lie all he wants but its going to come back and bite him in their butt .....
