If you have a good reason that the child can not go then you need to explain that to the father. If you refuse to let your child go just because you don't want to he can take you back to court for contempt, and the judge does not look lightely on that. Usally a warning will be issued to you from the judge and he will make it clear that if you do it again you could lose custody. you are not usally ever put in jail for this. But losing custody is worse. If you have a good reason for not allowing the child or children to see their father due to abuse or drinking or drugs ect, then you would need to file a motion with the court to get limited or supervised visits but it does have to be though the court it is not up to you to be judge and jury. Hope that this is not the reason that you are not giving him his visitations.

Listen to the brains here. If you have an order and do not follow through, that is contempt and you will get charged. Just like if the judge orders the absent parent to pay $100 a week and they only pay $25.
You have to follow through with all court orders, that is why we have courts, not just to punish bad people.
Good luck to you hun.
