What is involved in having joint custody.

I am in the middle of a divorce with my wife. She wants complete and absolute custody of our daughter. I have an established home and have had my job for over 10 years. My wife has moved a couple of times since she has left me. She has had 6 jobs in the past 2 years. I can not prove that she is incompetant but I do think my daughter would benefit from living with me. We live within 20 miles of each other and I want Joint Custody. I want my daughter and week and then she can stay with her mom for a week. I am more than willing to carry the health insurance for my daughter. Can you suggest how I can go about getting this type of orders issued?

Can you afford a lawyer? If not , file a petition yourself in Family Court asking to get your custody agreement modified.
