Temporary Guardianship is one that is limited to a specific period of time. By law, the Temporary Guardianship is limited to 60 days with the possibility of one extension of another 60 days if the Court allows it.
Temporary Custody is a misleading term because it almost always becomes Permanent Custody. It allows custody to be assigned temporarily to one parent while permanent custody arrangements are being made. Typically the person with the temorary custody ends up with permanent custody.
