As a single mom, now a grandmom, i can tell you that it goes both ways...my children & i grew
together & share a lot of memories, good & bad...they rarely saw their father, as he chose to live
in another state,,, HOWEVER....i made my share of mistakes...and....many times i could have torn
my hair out...there were no daddy weekends..we were together 24/7 pretty much..
it was scary, it was hairy, but for all the money in the world, i would not have had it any other
way....we laughed together, sometimes we cried together....i taught my children how to bait a
hook, clean a fish...we vacationed together...when i went to college at 27, we did homework
together...i had 3, 2 girls 1 boy....my youngest was 3 when i divorced....i re-married when my
children were well into their teens...
is sole custody worth it? i say yes in my case...decisions were often difficult to make, & it
was not all a bed of roses, but i would do it all over again the same way...with love..
