When childsupport stops

What are the reasons a father would have to stop paying childsupport even if the child is still under the age of 18. If he married and had children with the wife would he still have to pay for his first child?

There's no good reason, he's probably feeling strapped financially, and is assuming you won't take any legal action. Go back to court and get him to start paying again.
