Who has the right to the girls?

I have 2 step daughters their egg donor I will call her left them 7 years ago. I am married to their father but I am the one who cares for them all the time. My husband always says that if something happened between us the girls would be his. He never took care of them before I came along(wasnt a good dad). He isn a good dad now but work is always first. I am with the kids (I have a 10yr old and we have a 3 yr old together) 98% of the time., I am the one who does it all anede listen to it all. Do I have any right if I divorce him. I want my girls.

Well, right now he would get the girls. Legally, you are the step parent and nothing more. Is there any way you could adopt them? That would give you the legal grounds you would need to try for custody if anything were to happen. I do have to say I'm impressed with how you want the girls. All kids should be lucky enough to have a step parent who cares so much.
