Can a private school student attend a class at a public school if that same level class is not offered at her private school?

My daughter's private school does not offer Advanced Calculus/Calculus 2 but a public high school in our home district does. I seem to recall someone telling me once that I could access the public system if my school didn't offer something they did since I pay taxes into the system. Is this correct?

I would definatly ask! I went to a public high school and we had kids in our advanced classes that the smaller private school couldn't offer all of the time. I think 2 people in my AP stats class and someone else in AP Bio. The school systems usually have something worked out.

If they don't, you may also be able to take a college correspondence or online class that the school may offer to pay for. I took a college English class my senior year from BYU.

Talk to your advisor/counselor as they can tell you what they offer. Keep up the hard work - it'll pay off in the end!

I would say yes, you would want to get a hold of that public school, i dont belive there would be any fee, my child attends a academy school out of our district, but plays all sports for our public school,
