Can water freeze above 0 degrees Celsius?

My students (I am a teacher) work in a grocery store and have described a recent scientific phenomena for which I have no explanation.
The have bottles of Fiji bottled water in a cooler, they are unsure of its temperature but believe it is below zero, which are liquid in the cooler but if they remove them...shake them a little...they freeze almost instantly in their hand.
How can you explain this?

0 degrees Celsius is equal to 32 degree Fahrenheit, so both are the freezing points for water.
The answer is YES.

Also, water boils at 100 degrees Celsius!

Have fun!

I am aware of the Celsius temperature scale....but this does not address my question as to why the water would freeze with agitation but otherwise remain a liquid
