Ex-convivct attend barber college to obtain state license

When I enrolled at Ronny J' barber college I informed them that I had been convicted of a felony and would this matter hinder me from obtaining my state license in TX; they stated that it would not. After completing 1500 hours in a year and borrowing money to pay for college. The state denied me from taken the exam to get my state issused barber license ,because I was convicted of a felony in the state of TX .Also, the teaching was not up to par. The instructor could not read. Can I seek for money in demages lost and time wasted, the very poor teaching?Do I have a case?

Man, sorry you can't catch a break. Don't know if you have a case but you could talk to a lawyer about it.

I hate seeing this, you worked so hard!! I would definetly get a lawyer, and I think them not allowing you your license is discrimination, check into that as well. Good Luck
