There are tons of female mathematicians.

Out of antiquity we have Hypatia of Alexandria who collaborated with and commented on work her father Theon of Alexandria produced. For instance one work which she did was a commentary of Theon's Commentary of Euclid's Elements.

In the early twentieth Century we have Emmy Noether, she made breakthroughs in Modern Algebra.

We also have Ada Lovelace, probably the first "computer programmer" who worked out how computations could be done using Charles Babbages Analytical Engine.

Another famous female mathematician was Sofia Kovalevskaya. She was the women to be the editor of a mathematical publication and also the first women to hold a university chair in Europe.
