A Regulation football field is rectangular, 100yd long (excluding end zones), and has an area of 5300yd squared. Find the width of the field.

We know that for a rectangle, the Area = lenght*width. So in this case we know:

5300 square yards = 100 yds * width.

This means that the

width = 5300 square yards / 100 yds = 53 yds.

So the football field is 53 yds in width.

I hope that this helps!
