Nobody loses their individual identity in a multicultural society. They just display aspects of their individual identity, heritage or character and everyone else tolerates and respects the difference.

Isn't that what we have now?

You can go walk into some cities, and you see all sorts of sections of the city for each culture, but yet, we are still our own people.

unless you live in a dictatorship country, or are part of the Borg Collective, you will always have your identity that you can express freely.

I agree, but what I'm trying to do is find support for that agruement. In the research that I have done so far all I find is mostly negative opinions. I would like to learn enough enough info. to show what sociologists can due to further the andvancement. I found a fantastic website (web center for social research methods) It has been a great help except I cant figure out what they should be rsearching in the first place. What kinds of info. would they need to gather to address it and what kinds of research should they do? Survey, participant observation, interview, etc.
