How old do you have to be to get your GED?

I was told 18, and I really hope thats not the case.

You can take the test at 16, but you can get the actual GED at 17 (thats what I did).

It may very from state to state. here in Florida you have to be 18 years old unless you get an age waiver (ages 16-17).

In Massachusetts U have to be 16 yrs old.

In Pennsylvania it is 16 but they wont send you the ged diploma till you are 18...they only give you a letter stating that you passed....
