No, you can only deduct business expenses if you are self-employed or own your own business.

Nope, you can't. Jodi is right, you can only take deductions like that on business exceptions.

They are right. You could if you had a home business ie: tutoring in your home. Believe me I think you should be able to deduct. Being a teacher you spend so much of your own personal income. Good luck

You should really read the IRS tax codes about it. I know there are about a million pages to it, but that is going to be where you will find your definative answer.

If you have a computer at home and you are required by the school to take work home with you, then their might be a deductible expense. But definatly review the IRS tax code and see what you come up with!
