Is there a maximum number of teacher evaluations that a principal can complete in a given amount of time?

Is there a limit to the number of formal observations that a teacher can undergo before the summative evaluation is given?

Not really. It depends upon the requirements of the law or procedure under which the observations are taken. According to research, however, an observer must observe the teacher a number of times at various times in the day and week in order to get a more complete picture of the teacher.
In a number of observations for new teachers in a number of counties in Florida, for example, a minimum of four observations must be taken before the end-of-the-year summative observation.
