Are you thinking Theme or Title? I think you really already have your theme:Girls discussing important life issues. Not knowing the content makes it hard to come up with an idea.
Titling it is another story. Perhaps this will help?
Use common denominators between them all. Are they all teens? Are they single mothers? Do they live in the same neighborhood? Is this documentary a cry for help for the situation or just informational?
A decent title could be "It happens here everyday" "Take a walk in my shoes" "Through my eyes" or " through Her eyes" Hope this helps.

Looking for theme to tie piece together
Hey im working on a short documentry with 5 girls discussing issues in african-american comm. What I have so far is poem, 3 issues, teen pregnancy, lack of health insurance, and drug abuse. What I need is a theme to tie this all together. They all have a 3 minute film piece on their topic shot from the street, we also have a 15 minute Q & A session disussing entire piece. What I don't have is a theme to tie it all together. Help!
