Epidural fibrosis (EF) is a major cause of failed back surgery syndrome (FBSS), which induces disabling radiculopathy for which no effective medical treatment exists.
Doctors use the term radiculopathy to specifically describe pain, and other symptoms like numbness, tingling, and weakness in your arms or legs that are caused by a problem with your nerve roots. The most common symptom of lumbar radiculopathy is sciatica.

What is epidural fibrosis
I have had five rather extensive lower back surguries in the last five months and fluid build up continues even after dranage the pain is still severe. What do they mean when they say there is abnormal singal seen arising from the rightward asoect of the l4 l5 chaaracterized by intermediate singal on t1 and t2 weighted images which inhances. this soft tissue opacity does appear to enter the right neural foramen and is causeing moderatate to severe right foraminal narrowing. what does epidural fibrosis mean.

My doctor is telling me there is no more that he can do . I do have spinal stenosis and sciatica there has to be something that can help this pain. I have had five back surgeries in less than six months does there come a time when the Doctor you so trusted finally says I quit because that is what mine is doing I did not hurt like this until they cut on me

This is exactly what my doctor has told me. I think that he has made over one hundred and twenty thousand dollors he knows there is nothing else he can do. I have lost all trust in doctors now all they care about is the money. There has to be something that we as the consumer can do to stop all of this unnessary surgery. I hurt 24 7 sometimes it is so dabilitating I can hardly stand it and yes I was first diagnosed with spinal stenosis two herniated disc and now severe scatia is there ever an end to all of the bull. He now wants to send me two another doctor for pain control. I have personal friends that are doctors that have told me I will allways have severe pain. There has to be better guidelines on how these doctors treat you as a human being after they have litarly finacially broke you as well as spiritually. I hope to hear from more of you that are going through this it helps to know that your not alone. Have a Blessed day.
