Fratres
Summa
Pro et Contra
Cantus in Memoriam Benjamin Brittan
Symphony No. 2
Tabula Rasa

I like Lamentate best. Like many of his other works, he communicates an intense drama amid stillness, which only infrequently gives way to agitation. Lamentate is an instrumental work, not for chorus, and the playing on the recording with the SWR Radio-Sinfonieorchester Stuttgart (I know of no others) is astounding for its blend and clarity. This is desert island music for me.
