HA! I love that old song! One of my grandmas old favorites!
Nancy Sinatra (Frank Sinatra's daughter) sang this song years ago (60's) so I suppose she takes credit for the making the song known.
It was written by Lee Hazelwood though.
My brothers girlfriend sings that song at kareoke. she says it was originally performed by jane fonda.
I would think Nancy Sinatra did. Why, was there a version before hers? Or, are you referring to whoever wrote that song? I need clarification on that myself. Meanwhile, I'd say that if there IS more than one version of that song, Ms. Nancy Sinatra's version is most probably the most popular. In any case, I believe this song is most associated with the late 'Old Blue Eyes'" daughter.
