Hieronymus bosch - His work was SO inventive for the time and if you like Salvidor Dali, this guy lived in the 15th century! Truly unique. I like paintings you can look at for years and still see something new.

wow this is a hard one for me.
Renee Magritte! To me he embodies the surrealist movement.
I'm a big surrealist fan so of course I'm also a Dali Fan and we have the Dali Museum in St. Pete Fl. If you ever get around near Tampa you should check it out it's amazing. There is usually a coupon for a few bucks off in the local free tourist coupon books.
