Same rate of pay

If there is a group of people that are all listed as being the same crew,and the base rate is 18/hr can they pay other members of the same crew 14/hr?

It depends. if there is something that states that ALL members will be paid that base rate no matter what experience or job they do, then no. But if there is nothing in writing then yes thay can pay whatever they want. It could be based on many factors. If it is not understood that all members get the same rate of pay, then how is it that the discussion of pay was introduced in the first place? If you are being paid $14 and others $18, and you were told that by someone other than your payor, I wouldn't be surprized if they are lying. It is NEVER acceptable to discuss how much you get paid with people you work with. BTW, what kind of crew is it? Susu
