Due to the economic recession the interest rate on Series EE bonds is at the lowest it has been for some time. If you visit the bond calculator on the treasury website you can calculate the value of your $500 series EE bond at anytime. It is an easy bond calculator to use, all you need to input is the bond series type, bond value, bond issue date and bond serial number for an accurate bond valuation.

At the minute, ie November 2009, your $500 series EE savings bond is currently worth around $352.20

I couldn't locate a bond calculator on line, she directed me to the treasury bond calculator, so now I don't have to run down to the bank to rate the bonds.
