Cashing a check with three parties names

Hello, and Thank You.

I have a check from my mortgage company for some construction on my home. The check is made out to the contractor, me and my husband. If all three of us sign the back of the check, can I deposit it into my account?, or does it have to be deposited into the contractor's account? The check has the contractor's address on it, but all three of our names.

If you all sign it, then you can deposit it into your account at most banks. You'll have to check with their policy as everyone has different policies, but typically when they endorse the check it can be deposited into your account.
