I enjoy ING DIRECT Bank account and they are accesible through any other institution

There are great account from Fidelity and Schwab. ING and Countrywide (now Bank of America) are good, and so is Banco Popular (run by E Loan). All accounts are FDIC insured and that makes them trustworthy, otherwise you can't trust anyone. You can look at bankrate.com for a list of banks and their interest rates in checking to help you look at the best package.
