What is a "Secured Investment Contracts" ? and are they scams?

A secured Investment contract is a corporate bond against a company.

it isn't technically a scam since you are buying into a company.

but the risk is that if the company goes under, there is no money to pay you off with. if the company pays you back, you could get the 180% ROI that you see advertised.
