This is the best answer, because my question was pretty stupid. my
mother left me a small of amount of money and it is invested and
has done really well. then this last few months i lost what i have
gained the last two and half years. i am on disability so you can
imagine what the gift she left to be means in my life style. i know
nothing about finances, i was a nurse in my other life. i was hoping
for another advisement. my sister said she is not going to worry about
it but i do becausemy sis has a lot more money than i do and is
set for life. thank you for your answer. i will try to think of something
equally stupid to ask for next time. janetta

This is going to be a tough period right now that the stock market is going to go through as the country borders on recession.
you can invest in the market, and you can make money in this time, you just need to know why and how to do it, and not rely on your stock guy to pick the stocks for you to be investing in.
because the bottom line is, its your money, if he loses it, it doesn't hurt him at all, it hurts you. thats why you need to know what is going on with it.
maybe try something with a lower risk tolerance that won't be so risky in the up coming market trend if the thought of losing 10 grand over night is to much for you to take.
