Can a person bring their own food to a bar or restaurant

In Hawaii. Can a customer bring their own food to consume in a restaurant. For example, can a person bring their own chips and salsa to eat at a bar that does not provide bar snacks.

I doubt if any bar or restaurant in any state would allow outside food or drinks to be brought in, in fact many establishments post on their entry doors that outside food and drinks are not allowed in,one reason they don't allow it is if you bring it in they will not make any money and also it could cause a liability.

It's pretty uncouth and something that most restaurants do not allow or atleast frown upon.

If the establishment do not serve food ask the bartender if it would be okay. Some bars that don't serve food will allow you to order pizza or get takeout from a nearby restaurant as long as you are drinking at the bar this shouldn't be a problem but if the estabishment does serve food then you better just get a booth or table top and order off the menu.
