After cutting in in half long ways, you"ll need to go to the hardware store and
get some hendes and some handles , to open and close easy. Also you could
use oven racks to sit the pig on. You will need to cut another hole to let some of the smoke out and to keep the heat moving around.

Do you Know any welder's? The BBQ joint down the street made a Smoker Grill out of an old school watering cart . The watering cart had wheels on it and a trailer hitch on the front. This made it easy for them to transport it to the local welder.

From what I noticed the water cart container was cut in half horizontally. Hinges, chains, and a handle were added to help with opening and closing the lid. A metal grate which was purchased at Home Depot was used for cooking the food on. You will also need to add some type of exhaust system like a chimney for the smoke to escape your "pig cooker".
