I have a simple recipe for meatloaf! This was the one thing that my mom always made growing up!

1 lb hamburger
1 egg
Italian Bread Crumbs
Milk
catsup

Mix hamburger and eggs together. Then add about 1/4 cup milk. Then just add bread crumbs until it makes like a dough texture that you can mold.

Make into a loaf about 4" wide in a bread pan, cover the whole top in catsup and cook for about 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

This is serious home-cooking and I love it because there are like 5 ingredients.

I always add green peppers and onions , and bread crums, like mahlo says, i just use plain light bread torn up into inch pieces, add the egg, and let it bake , until almost done then i spread catsup with a little brown sugar in it, to make a good top on it, adds a little sweet, and salt and pepper in the mix, bake at 375 for 45 mins, if a 2 lb meat loaf.

I've got a homestyle recipe that is reminiscent of Mom's meatloaf. The recipe is on my blog at http://bakedchicago.typepad.com/baked_chicago/2008/06/moms-meatloaf.ht ml
