On accident or on purpose?
On accident I have eaten rocky mountain oysters - being from Colorado I didn't catch on until everyone started laughing when I asked where they got them. "I thought all oysters were in the ocean and lived in saltwater. Is there some river they live in up here or something?" Yeah, I felt retarded (I majored in culinary arts for 2 years prior to this so I should have known better). All comes back to that common sense vs book smarts question Jodi asked. lol.
On purpose I tried some weird sushi w/ wasabi sauce (can't remember what type of fish it was) my Asian aunt made. I offended her by gagging and spitting it in my napkin at the table. lol. She knew she married into a white trash family before inviting me over...

Mma_mom - rocky mountain oysters are not actually bad tasting. I would absolutely not go out of my way to eat them just because of the concept though.

By far - Mackerel is just discussing. It's the fishiest of fish. Then try a bad piece of Mackerel sushi and now your talking bad.

I want to know if this was on accident or not sid? My hubby ate cow brains at his mexican bosses house a few years ago and he said they were good (really spicy, but good)
I personally drank my dinner that night (just like tonight ;-)

Yeah in Northern Colorado in a town with 1/2 a stop light and more cows than people there is this place called Sullivans or something like - a total dive bar - that and that is what they are KNOWN for. You can get them by the bucket there. Ummmm ewww.

If you like bazaar food you have to watch Bazaar Foods on the travel channel on Mondays I think. I've seen him eaten raw "rocky mountain oysters" not for people with weak stomachs!

Anchovies would have to be mine - I tried them on pizza. Worst thing ever!
