Why can't you buy liquor or sell a car on Sundays?

Is that true in all states? If not, what states can you?

I know you can in Cali, but not in Washington or here in Colorado. It's stupid if you ask me, the bars are open on Sunday but not the liquor stores, to me that is like saying "go drink and drive, but only on sunday"

It seems like all states should be the same - I know in Colorado the liquor stores close at midnight, but in Wyoming they close at 2am?

Sorry don't know why you can't buy a car on Sundays

Every state is different, even some cities are different within states. It's an issue of the government restricting our freedom and liberties. Most of the laws are old and it's probably time to change them.

Blue Laws! Back "in the day" Sunday was a day of rest and religion. Some states still prohibit the sale of tools on Sunday. Everything from power tools to garden tools.

If you live in the bible belt you know that you can not purchase alcohol on Sunday and in some states such as Florida they limit alcohol sales on sunday to afternoon.

Georgia prohibits the sale of alcohol within a certain area of the church.

A lot of the blue laws have been overruled due to being unconstitutional but some still exist in certain states.
