The best things to write about are things you are familar with. Things that you like, things that you hate. Friends, parents, school, etc are things to think about. Good Luck

I'd say your optimal topic is stuff you can relate to easily. Not only can you write about it better, but you can feel the music when you sing and sound better. For girls, mostly we feel emotions stronger than boys, and we'd probrably write more about those feelings. Generally to do with love.

Of course write about love. It is full of imagery and metaphor.

Dreams are excellent, but never tell anyone that you're writing about a dream. People generally hate hearing about other people's dreams.
