What type of container do you have it in?
My mom had one that she kept in a deep ceramic container and it turned yellow, I put it in a clear vase with pretty stones and water and it is doing great now.
I always keep them in something clear, I think maybe it's better if the roots get more light than if they are in something that lets no light in.
Try that and see if it works.
Good luck.

Sometimes the stalk gets infected with a bacteria. If you fertilize it then it could be that you overfertilized it. You may want to cut off the yellow part and see if you can salvage it, but the damage may already have been done. Susu

Bamboo is a type of grass and takes a lot of nitro to keep lush and green, try mixing peat moss with activated charcoal and a generous amount of wood ash see if that might bring your litte yellow friends around to the greener side of the fence, you could also add a few rusty nails wich will get possibly much needed iron in your plants! p.s don't give up!
