Although someone may have the answer here, a much better place to ask would be at this forum:

http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=cfrm&c=4

They are collectors of lots of different things, like comic books, coins, and paper money. Just scroll down until you see "Paper Money" and ask on that forum. Someone should help you out a whole lot better over there, as that's what many of them do: have collections of rare currency.

By the way, that's so cool that you have this. Even if it's not worth too much (I read between $35-65, unless it's a "Red Star" bill), then it's still something to have some paper money that's nearly 100 years old! But just ask them, and someone should be able to help you out. DON'T sell it to a collector that you meet inside of their shop, as they will probably rip you off. Get some outside help, where nobody could take advantage of you and tell you it isn't worth what it really is.

If you have a 1917 U.S. Note with a red seal, I would advise having it appraised by a professional dealer. Bills from that year retail anywhere from $75 to $350 depending on condition.
