To clean it you need to take it apart first. First, remove the magazine - move the slide back 5mm until the two lines on the slide and lower receiver line up and push the slide release catch out. - push the slide forwards and off the lower frame. - remove the recoil spring and spring guide. - push the outer barrel forwards about an inch before lifting it out of the slide.
