Windows NT interference

When I tried installing an old computer game (Daytona USA deluxe) on a newer computer (Windows XP), the game could not run because of a program called windows NT 5.1 (there was also a little note after that that said "(Build:2600)". This was titled as a "Setup Initialize Error". I looked up the program "windows NT" and found out that it was a 32 bit operating system, a version windows, though, a bit of an old one. Though the operating system in window XP was based off of the NT program, it was not "branded" as windows NT. However, when I do a search on my computer and input "windows nt", I always recive a program that is specificly labled "windows nt". How do I by-pass the "Error" so I can run Daytona USA?
