Premature graying as well as thinning of the hair can be an inherited trait...There is not alot that a physician can do to stop this progression..However, I would advise you to seek the advise of a well trained Cosmotologist...He or she may be able to tell you abit more about this...You may also wish to seek the advise of a dermotologist, however, I think that they may tell you the same thing....Please , keep us posted on this...Good Luck to you and God Bless.

Ok, first of all, lets get alittle understanding of normal hair growth..There is a cycle of hair growth for 2-6 years. Each hair grows aproximately 1cm/ 1/2 inch per month. About 10% of the hair on your scalp at any one time, is in a resting phase. After 2-3 months, the resting hair falls out and new hair starts to grow in it's place..With Alopecia(hair loss), this phase does not occur.. There are a number of things that can cause this hair loss.. A lenghty illness, surgery, childbirth, however, this is usually temporary....More significant causes are hormonal disorders(particularly Thyroid), which is treatable. Certain medications , fungal infections of the scalp , all treatable...More importantly, there can be underlying diseases that can cause this which should be evaluated..Lupus and Diabetes are just a couple of examples...You may want to explore this avenue and discuss this possibility with your physician....As for treatment, there are several , one that has gotten alot of notoriety is Rogaine(Minoxidil), the other is a non-prescription drug called Finasteride (Popecia)...I must tell you that the results of these are strictly individualized....One must find the root cause of the problem to affectively treat it, or it's cause...Again, I hope this was abit helpful...Please, keep us posted..God Bless.

Considering that stress and loss of vit B's can quickly deteriorate hair health, you should look at
Stressful events in your life in the last while, and especially your diet.
Brown rice, grains, brewers yeast...add things to your diet that provide lots of B vitamins.
Or buy a good B complex, flax oil, fish oil, avocados....eat for hair health.
