Pain in groin/thigh to knee, lower back

When walking around mall, would get in car and feel like back would snap. what brought me to dr though was sharp pain-radiating around hip, groin and shooting pains down to knee. MRI HIP-marrow edema, 4-5 mm degenerative cysts in the superior lip of the acetabulum. MRI Lumbar -No IV contrast - annular bulge and early facet hypertrophy L4-5 narrowing neural foramina inferior to the exiting nerve roots. Bulge L5-S1 without impingement. Ive had steroids, NSAID, S1 injections, muscle relaxers and pain killers. Spent $100's on PT and Chiro. Now having trouble walking in general. family dr wants nerve conduction study, Ortho dr wants to send me to spinal surgeon? ortho dr makes me feel like I shouldnt be in "pain". thank goodness family dr knows me. I am at a loss and it is affecting everyday function. sitting is now also becoming increasingly painful. Weeks away from turning 50. Fit now after 70 lb weight loss and this is what I get?

Have you had a previous hip replacement or surgery on that side in the past?

No I havent. One Dr. says I am lucky......he doesnt think I will need to deal hip replacement for 10-15 years! That is great, but it doesnt help me now.
