Are fish safe to eat when lake has been treated with 2 4 d?

They want to treat our lake with 2 4 d to stop noxious weed growth. What are effects on swimmers and fish?

Anytime they treat your lake to stop noxious growth. I would not eat the fish. The lake usally will post a sign at the lake warning you not to fish or to swim and remove the sign when it is ok. If your not sure contact the game awarden he will know.
