It is always good to wear a closed toe shoe in any place of employment and most establishments have a dress code that usually will state that shoes need to be closed at the toe and sometimes the heel too is required to be a closed one. As I work in the healthcare industry I know this to be true. The fact that medication and injections are being given really has no more bearing on the matter than if any other item were being sold or even made. Although a needle could possibly be dropped on your foot needles have a protective sheath or can be drawn back into the syringe by simply pushing on the end of the syringe after administration to prevent accidental sticks of any kind.I do hope this helps and answers your question.
