Could be a lot of things, some harmless, some serious. Sorry I know that's vague. Best to go see your doctor and get tested.

I would suggest getting checked out by your doctor or a gastrologist. Your doc may refer you to a gastrologist. There are a few reasons why you could have blood in your stool and none of them are that good.

Check out the symptom checker at http://www.webmd.com and you can see the few things it could be. All of which say, go get checked out by your doc.

It sounds like hemmrhoids to me, I have had them for many years. If it is hemmrhoids, a hot bath, as hot as you can stand, for 20 - 30 minutes, the hemmrhoids should shrink and the blood should stop until they are aggravated again, (constipation, diahhrea, etc). This COULD be the answer but I would have it checked out with a doctor also.
