The only time I've heard of a lung cyst is when a guy I was dating had a pneumothorax caused by one of the cysts rupturing. His lung cyst was caused by bacterial bronchitis. Has your niece had a cold that could have turned into bronchitis at any time?

Causes of a lung cyst in a 6 month old
My 6 month old niece just had a cat scan ,after having a persistent cough and lung x-rays showing nothing.We just recieved the results that she has a lung cyst and has to see a lung specialist.Can you give me any idea what this could be.[I know what a cyst is but need to know what could have caused it? Thankyou
